The Portage Friends of the Parks

The Portage Friends of the Parks is a newly formed group of the Portage Parks Board organized to provide support and volunteer opportunities to assist with park projects and events that benefit and promote our outstanding Portage Park system. The Board works on activities to promote family, health and educational oriented events to increase the quality of life in the community and create awareness of our natural park assets.

Our Mission

Objectives

  • Develop a database of volunteers and their areas of interest.
  • Communicate with Park Board and Event Coordinators on required volunteers.
  • Contact and schedule volunteers to work at events.
